What began as Dominion Energy’s two-turbine pilot in 2020 is now the largest offshore wind project in the country. Upon completion in 2026, this 2.6-gigawatt project, which will utilize 176 turbines, is expected to power 660,000 homes and deliver $3 billion in fuel savings.
CVOW Latest UpdatesDeveloped by Avangrid and now jointly advanced with Dominion Energy, this $5–$8 billion project has the potential to deliver 2.5 gigawatts of clean energy upon its completion in 2026. The project also includes plans for two onshore stations in Virginia Beach.

Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Fisheries Compensation Fund
As part of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project led by Dominion Energy, this fund provides financial support to fishery companies and small businesses that may be affected by offshore wind development activities.
