VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Dec. 9, 2021) — Solid Structures will be relocating and expanding its growing business in Virginia Beach. The company is currently located at 106 S. First Colonial Road. The new facility will be at 1252 Jensen Drive — a move that allows the company to grow its facility on 2.7 acres of land. The building is scheduled for completion in August 2022.
"Solid Structures is excited to expand operations in Virginia Beach,” said Scott Prunty, President. “Moving from a 3,000-square-foot building on 1/3 of an acre to an 8,000-square-foot building on 2.7 acres will give Solid Structures the ability to grow and help more clients,”. “The support from the Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development has helped us achieve our goals and we are fortunate to have them on our team. We look forward to the construction of our new home in the heart of Virginia Beach."
Solid Structures was established in 2008 and specializes in redefining outdoor living through innovative build and design concepts that feature:

The total capital investment in the new location totals $1,425,000 and consists of real estate, furniture and fixtures, and machinery and tools. The Virginia Beach Development Authority awarded an Economic Development Investment Program grant in the amount of $35,000 based on capital investment.
“While the economic development incentive program does benefit recipients, like Solid Structures, the City and its citizens are additional beneficiaries,” said Taylor Adams, Deputy City Manager & Director of Economic Development. “EDIP can significantly increase commercial activity, property values and revenue; all factors that greatly enhance the city’s quality of life.”
