December 16, 2014

Cape Henry Associates, Inc., a Virginia Beach-based provider of training solutions, has announced plans to expand its headquarters and create 36 new full time jobs over the next 36 months. Founded in Virginia Beach in 2004, the company will consolidate operations from two locations and move into 20,000 square feet of office space at 2877 Guardian Lane in the Lynnhaven strategic growth area. The company currently has 108 employees, 90 percent of them veterans. The new jobs will pay an average annual salary of $65,000.

Cape Henry Associates, Inc. is a privately held, service-disabled veteran-owned small business specializing in manpower estimate reports, front-end analysis, job/task analysis, billet training profiles and preliminary manpower documents. Its customer base includes Naval Sea Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare System, Naval Service Warfare Center, U.S. Coast Guard and other departments and agencies. The expansion will also assist the company as it increases its civilian market base.

The new jobs that will be created include project managers, logistic specialists, technical writers, training and human system integration analysts. The expansion will generate $150,000 in new capital investment in the City.

“Cape Henry Associates provides critical services to our military and fits within our target industry sectors for maritime, logistics management, technical services and defense,” said Warren D. Harris, director of Virginia Beach Economic Development. “The professional opportunities the company provides our veterans are greatly appreciated and significantly expand their skill sets in areas of technology, process improvement and human resources management.”

The Virginia Beach Economic Development Authority has awarded an Economic Development Investment Program grant in the amount of $75,000 based the number of jobs created in the City.

Cape Henry Associates’ President William “Bill” Allen volunteered that Virginia Beach has proven to be a perfect location to develop and grow a company dedicated to providing support to the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and other government customers. “The number one factor that has allowed us to grow is our access to one of the largest talent pools of educated and experienced individuals in the country with former military experience,” said Allen. “These talented people have proven themselves, often for an entire career, and make outstanding, self-motivated employees.”

Cape Henry Associates is registered with the Small Business Administration & Defense Logistics Agency Central Contractor Registration Database.
