City of Virginia Beach Industry Day Set for Aug. 8

Free event will provide information on upcoming contracting opportunities

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (July 18, 2022) – The City’s Small, Women, and Minority-owned (SWaM) Business Office is hosting the second City of Virginia Beach Industry Day. Open to engineers, contractors and anyone interested in doing business with the City, this free, in-person event invites participants to learn about upcoming contracting opportunities for several projects and insights on navigating the City’s procurement process.

Industry Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, at The HIVE, 140 Independence Blvd. It is free and open to the public. Attendees can register for the event at www.VBGov.com/swam.

Staff from various City departments, Purchasing Division, and the SWaM Business Office will share presentations. Participation in this event offers businesses of all sizes a chance to ask questions and get answers directly from City staff about specific project and procurement needs.
