Commonwealth Has More Than 100,000 Cyber Attacks a DayCyber Symposium to Position Virginia Beach as National ResourceThe Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development and Cyber Protection Resources will host a Cyber Symposium on March 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center, 4535 Commerce Street, Virginia Beach.The agenda includes introductory remarks by the Virginia Secretary of Technology Karen R. Jackson, Senator Mark R. Warner and Virginia Beach Mayor William D. Sessoms.Keynote Speakers include:Paul Tiao, Organizational Cybersecurity ChallengesTiao is a partner at Hunton & Williams's Washington office. He is co-chair and co-founder of Hunton’s multi-disciplinary Energy Sector Security Team. His practice focuses on investigations, litigation, regulations, policy and legislation relating to a wide range of homeland security and privacy issues, including cyber intrusions, data breaches, theft of intellectual property, FOIA, security clearances, electronic surveillance, criminal violations, and data privacy. Tiao served on the 2015 Governors Commission on Cybersecurity. Dan Stein, Cybersecurity Education: Start Early - and Don't Stop! Dan Stein is the program lead of the National Cybersecurity Education and Training Program (NCETPP) within the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity Education and Awareness Branch.
