Dreamlight Inc. Expands Headquarters and Adds 45 Jobs in Virginia Beach

Dreamlight Inc., founded in Virginia Beach in1989, will expand its corporate headquarters and manufacturing operations at 1620 Centerville Turnpike in Virginia Beach. The company will purchase the adjacent building at 1618 Centerville Turnpike for the expansion. Dreamlight Inc. currently has 60 employees and plans to add an additional 45 jobs with the expansion, five of which will be at the managerial level.
Dreamlight Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of high-end athletic wear for high school, college and national gymnastics teams and athletes. Dreamlight was the first to introduce new textiles such as metallic fabrics and sheer mesh to the gymnastics industry, and the company has continued to lead the way with innovative techniques such as fabric appliqué and the creative use of Austrian crystals. Its current clients include the University of Georgia, University of Arkansas, University of Arizona, North Carolina State, Arizona State, Kellam High School, Tallwood High School and Ocean Lakes High School.
Dreamlight currently occupies 15,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space. The new building will provide an additional 10,000 square feet.

Harris, director of Virginia Beach Economic Development. “This innovative manufacturer has recently been awarded a very attractive contract to supply a new line for Disney stores so we anticipate even more success in the future.”
The expansion represents a $1.165 million capital investment in the City. The Virginia Beach Economic Development Authority has awarded an Economic Development Investment Program grant in the amount of $20,000 based on the capital investment.
