Germany-based TAG America Inc Selects Virginia Beach for First US Manufacturing Facility

TAG America Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of TAG Chemicals GmbH, has selected a facility in Virginia Beach, VA as their first location in the United States. TAG America will produce water-based, non-toxic, specialty chemicals such as agent releasers for a variety of industries and industrial clients. TAG Chemicals GmbH is headquartered in Bischofsheim, Germany.“We are excited to welcome TAG America Inc. to the growing international business community of Virginia Beach,” said Warren D. Harris, Director Virginia Beach Economic Development. “Small and medium sized European enterprises increasingly understand the strategic importance of having a U.S. facility for their long term success, and the commitment of this city, region and Commonwealth in working that market continues to produce results.”TAG America Inc. conducted a real estate search across several East Coast states to host production, storage, sales and administration before selecting a 6,400 square foot facility at 5721 Bayside Road in Virginia Beach. The offices of Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord in the transaction.“We dedicated a lot of time before selecting Virginia Beach for our newest international operation,” said Andreas Kemper, Managing Director for TAG Chemicals. “We believe the strategic location, the favorable business climate and the support we received make Hampton Roads and Virginia Beach the best location for TAG America Inc.”TAG Chemicals GmbH was founded in 2003 and operates facilities in Germany, South Africa, India and the Czech Republic. The company is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001 certified with core competencies in research and development.
