U.S. Homecare Expands in Virginia Beach

Company Nearly Doubles in Size and Adds Eight New Jobs U.S. Homecare Products, LLC, headquartered in Nevada, is expanding its presence in Virginia Beach. The company has executed a lease in the Ocean South Industrial Park at 1345 Taylor Farm Road for 59,625 square feet. This nearly doubles the company’s existing 31,800-square-foot lease at the same location. Additionally, U.S. Homecare will add eight to ten new jobs with average salaries of $32,000.The company is an independent, privately held organization that imports and distributes healthcare products. U.S. Homecare is an innovator in healthcare supply and offers a comprehensive line of incontinence products in addition to advanced wound dressings, urologicals, skin care and home care products.Last year, U.S. Homecare partnered with ABENA North America (ANA) headquartered in Culver City, California. The parent company is a Danish, family-owned manufacturer and wholesaler of healthcare products headquartered in Aabenraa in Southern Denmark. The Abena Group, which is represented by subsidiaries, supplies more than 25,000 products and operates in more than 80 countries across the globe.U.S. Homecare and Abena North America’s Virginia Beach location is the regional warehouse and East Coast distribution facility. Abena North America markets and sells Abena-branded products in North America, including Mexico, United States, and Canada. It is shifting the majority of its distribution operations from California to Virginia Beach. The proximity to the Port of Virginia is strategic since 95% of goods sold originate from Europe and Asia and are delivered in containers by sea freight.“This expansion is the result of growth and success for two Virginia Beach entities U.S. Homecare and Abena North America,” said Warren D. Beverly, in the negotiations. Glenn Gibson with Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.
